Jason and Susan have worked together in ministry since they were married in 1990. Having served in a variety of roles in four different churches since 1990, it was just a matter of time until they were ready to launch out on their own. Having spent time with churches in California, Texas, Tennessee and Arizona, they felt it was time to return home, coming full-circle to their roots in northern California.
Jason is experienced not only as a pastor, but also as a worship leader, a producer/director of several music and media projects, including radio and TV production, music CD's, and web content development.
Susan is a wonderful pastor's wife, has a deep desire to see families develop lasting relationships, and loves to be personally involved in outreach projects to the people of our community. She runs Annabelle’s, a ladies’ boutique in downtown Fairfield whose proceeds benefit other church outreach efforts including Project Turnaround.
Mars Hill is a dream-come-true for Jason and Susan. They feel privileged to share that dream with others and are excited about showing the people of Fairfield that God really is relevant to their everyday lives.
They have three children: Jordan (17), Kristin (14) and Lauren (10).
Mike and Melissa Wurz // youth pastorsMike and Melissa Wurz joined the staff of Mars Hill Church in May, 2010, as our Youth Pastors. Having grown up here in the Bay Area, Mike and Melissa are right at home in Fairfield. Their journey has been an interesting one, but they are so glad that God uses our past to build a bright future!
Mike, having been raised in a single-parent home, has a passion for youth and a desire to help them learn to trust in God as their perfect father. Melissa, who also has a strong commitment to worship ministry, enjoys discipling teen girls, and helping them find their inner beauty.
We are blessed to have Mike and Melissa, and their daughters, Abrianna and Haley, as part of our ministry team.
