Jason & Susan have worked together in ministry since they were married in 1990. Having served in a variety of roles in four different churches since 1990, it was just a matter of time until they were ready to launch out on their own. Having spent time with churches in California, Texas, Tennessee and Arizona, they felt it was time to return home, coming full-circle to their roots in northern California.

Jason is experienced not only as a pastor, but also as a worship leader, a producer/director of several music & media projects, including radio & TV production, music CD's, and web content development.

Susan is a wonderful pastor's wife, has a deep desire to see families develop lasting relationships, and loves to be personally involved in outreach projects to the people of our community. She runs Annabelle’s, a ladies’ boutique in downtown Fairfield whose proceeds benefit other church outreach efforts including Project Turnaround.

Mars Hill is a dream-come-true for Jason & Susan. They feel privileged to share that dream with others and are excited about showing the people of Fairfield that God really is relevant to their everyday lives.

They have three children: Jordan (17), Kristin (14) & Lauren (10).

Jenny comes to Mars Hill Christian School with sixteen years of teaching experience.  She has taught 2nd grade through 12th grade.  After graduating and earning her California Teaching Credential from California State University, Chico, Jenny taught 2nd grade for two years in Concord, California.  In 1992 she began her 14 year teaching career at Vacaville Christian Schools.  There she taught 2nd – 5th grades, sixth grade math, 7th grade English, various electives including drama and speech and debate, before moving on to teach 9th grade English for the past seven years.

During her teaching career Jenny has directed several high school drama productions as well as coached volleyball both at the middle school and high school level.  She is motivated by a desire to not only teaching in a truly Christian environment, but to teach in a way that recognizes the glorious uniqueness of each student.  Her belief that students can truly learn only when they are truly known.
